POST-SHOOT INFORMATION
We hope you had a wonderful time at your shoot! Here are details on next steps for your shots.
RECEIVING IMAGES
IMAGE TIMELINE
You will receive all color-graded images from your shoot by next business day. We will send images to the email address provided at the time of your booking, so please ensure we have the correct email on file before leaving your shoot. If you do not receive anything in your inbox by next business day, be sure to check your spam / junk folder.
VIEW IMAGES
We will send images via Pixieset. You will receive an email with a link to the Pixieset collection containing all of your shots. Scroll down to the bottom of the email to the button that says VIEW PHOTOS to view your shots.
SAVE IMAGES
We will keep your Pixieset collection live for one month following your shoot (unless you purchased the year-long storage option at the time of your booking). During the month following your shoot, we strongly encourage clients to back up images to a physical storage device (e.g. external hard drive) or in a long-term storage service of their choosing (e.g. a personal Dropbox account).
To download a specific image, hover over the image and select the arrow icon on the bottom of the image.
You will be prompted for your email address and download PIN.
The email address will be the same one used to send your images to (the email address used at the time of booking, unless you instruct us otherwise).
Download PIN
The download PIN is the 4-digit number at the bottom of the email sent to you, beneath the link to view your images.
IMAGE FORMAT
Pixieset will give the option of downloading images in one of two formats.
WEB SIZE
Web size is a lower resolution image format, which should fit the file size requirements for websites such as Actors Access.
Clients may back up their lo-res shots for ease of access should they need to upload to web, send to reps, etc… However this is at client discretion - if in a pinch, clients can resize hi-res images to a lower file size.
IMAGE STORAGE
We will store your images for one month (unless you purchased extended storage at the time of your booking). In that time, clients are responsible for backing up their shots to a storage service or physical storage device of their choosing should they want access to them after a month.
This is of particular importance should you want retouching at a later date - we require high resolution images in order to retouch. If you do not back up hi-res images within a month following your shoot and wait too long to request retouching, you risk us no longer having your hi-res images to retouch from.
RETOUCHING
When you have selected your favorite images, you can reach back out to us to let us know which shots you would like us to have retouched!
When you are ready, please send the image numbers (the full number in the image’s file name) of your desired shots to admin@chrisjonphotography.com.
Please do not send over images, screengrabs of images, renumbered images, etc. We need the numbers from the original file names to retouch.
STYLE OF RETOUCHING
Our approach to retouching is to keep you looking as “you” as possible. We keep our retouch style on the natural side, focusing on enhancing your natural beauty and removing only impermanent features (e.g. blemishes, flyaways).
We do our best to honor specific requests or notes for retouches, provided they fall within our style of retouching. If a particular request falls outside of our standard retouch (e.g. changes to clothing, correcting makeup not applied by a Chris Jon makeup artist, altering facial features, etc…) it may be excluded.
COMPLIMENTARY RETOUCHES
Each session comes with a certain number of retouches included.
- Lightning Session: 1 retouch included
- 1-hour Session: 3 retouches included
- 1.5-hour Session: 4 retouches included
- 2-hour Session (Individual): 6 retouches included
- 2-hour Session (Shared): 4 retouches each included
ADDITIONAL RETOUCHES
If you would like more images retouched beyond the amount included in your session package, you may order additional retouches at $15 per image. We must receive payment before sending your images off for retouching.
You can pay for your additional images via:
- Venmo: Venmo the amount for your additional retouches to @Chris-Jonphoto
- Card on file: Email us and request that we charge the card on file for the number of retouches you are requesting

RETOUCH TURNAROUND/ DELIVERY
Average turnaround time for retouches is 7-10 days. You will receive retouches via Pixieset, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox and/ or junk/ spam folders.
